Hands of Hope Ministries is a non-denominational, non-religious, wholly volunteer 501 (c)(3) organization. It is a street ministry program that provides an encompassing and holistic approach to serving the needs and solving the problems encountered by troubled youths and poor children and families. Most often this poverty is in the form of joblessness, homelessness, lack of education, lack of skills, inability to read or write, low self-esteem and the like.
Volunteers offer their time and skills and form the primary network that maintains the program on a daily basis. The following illustrate the types of program services we offer:
Hands of Hope serves any and all persons in need, 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Our goal is to keep families together in their own home and community. It is an agency of last resort for many people. Hands of Hope has been providing these services since 1981. We assist an average of 1,730 people and/or families per year with counseling, food, transportation, housing, clothing, prisoner assistance employment.
Because we are an entirely volunteer organization and not subsidized by government monies, we must depend on independent support from individuals, groups and business establishments for the various types of contributions needed to maintain our ministry.
